The 28th annual Paso Robles wine festival

is not only celebrated park in Paso Robles but a lot of the wineries have events also for the visitors to also attend. Participating wineries in the area have a variety of fun and other things to see and do. We visited the Stacked Stone Cellars and found out more of the events.

The estate vineyard

produces low yields of highly concentrated, jammy, and intense Zinfandel fruit. The vines are sustainably dry farmed and head pruned on the west side Paso Robles, where the soils are rich in minerals and nutrients. The soil is calcareous and siliceous composed of shale, mudstone, siltstone and limestone providing the optimum terroir for Zinfandel. The estate fruit is gently harvested to produce the flagship and award wining wine the "Zin Stone"

We visited Eagle Castle

We heard a story that a winery had found a prehistoric whale in their vineyard. We headed out and came a cross more than what we experted to find at Eagle Castle. We were then invited to film a wine tasting. In our quest to uncover the truth we had a chance to hear from the man that had made the discovery of a prehistoric whale that was dated to be between 3-4 million years old.

Eagle Castle has friendly knowledgeable people. The winery is a work of art in building and design. The whole castle was filled with people that were willing to share their passion and knowledge about their vineyard and wines. Since we have been on tour this was the best of the best that we have found “five stars”
